Pichate Youngpob (b.1995) is a Thai mixed-media artist and painter who lives and works in the suburb of Bangkok. He studied Thai art until he graduated with a master's degree at Silpakorn University. His journey began with mixed-media art by assembling found objects and vintage collectibles to give them new narratives, values, and meanings. It is a reminiscence of youth when he was making his own toys.

He has the intuition to create art without any limitation of the educational frameworks, thoughts, techniques, rules, and artistic mediums. Eventually, he got a degree and gave himself a break. He had a change of heart and decided to experiment with painting. His appreciation of objects resulted in 2-dimensional painting with the perspective and approach of 3-dimensional objects. Every piece has an impressive characteristic of either or both textured and layered surfaces, rhythmic brushstrokes and distinctive movement also provide a tangible sentiment. All of which is a tribute to his late mixed-media era, i.e., the state of nostalgia.

The conversation of experiences along the way through semi-abstract to abstract impressionism and contemporary art is similar to a diary of being a full-time artist. He utilises the uncomplicated dialogue to reflect on the moment. Growth and comprehension of emotion, idea, and determination, let him proficiently improvise. He learns to allow the crystallisation of experiences and ideas. He declared that we do not need to understand it right away, it takes time, we need to embrace it. Opinions will vary depending on individuals, each own imagination and perception.
